Founded in 2018, Princess Purpose, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to serving Black girls. Our mission is o empower Black girls to love themselves, believe in themselves and choose themselves using their voices and talents to creatively express themselves.
Black girls need spaces where they are allowed to be represented, creative, empowered, acknowledged and heard. There is also a strong need for Black girls to feel worthy, love themselves and choose themselves.
We were founded to provide safe spaces for girls to embrace their culture, congregate with others who look like them and share the same lived experiences in order for them to grow. This organization is relevant, as Black girls are not majority in most spaces they enter. They need a safe space to express how they feel when faced with adversity, bias and lack of support - feelings of not being equal to their counterparts.
Black girls need safe spaces to define, discover and affirm who they are. We offer those spaces.
Empowering our girls of today to be strong leaders of tomorrow.
Princess Purpose was founded to raise awareness of issues affecting young Black girls related to low self-worth, self-esteem and self-identity. She wanted to help change their narratives by lending her voice to demonstrate what empowerment, positive imagery and cultural advancement looked like.

7 in 10 girls believe that they were not good enough - we want to redirect that thought process.
Validating a girl's voice early on can be life-altering. Our girls need to believe that they are worthy.
Positive representation MATTERS.
